Through the intervention of the Human Rights Defender, the number of positively resolved individual cases have almost been doubled in the first half of the 2026.
On 23 July, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan held a working discussion with representatives of the Human Rights Defender’s Office at the Syunik sub-division of the Human Rights Defender's Office, summarizing the results of her working visit to Syunik Province.

In response to inquiries from mass media representatives, we inform that, within the framework of the investigation initiated by the Human Rights Defender and on the instruction of the Human Rights Defender, representatives of the Human Rights Defender’s Office visited the “Abovyan” Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia on 13 July and held a private interviews with Ms. Aregnaz G. Manukyan, a deputy of the 8th convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
