On September 2, representatives of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office visited Ohanavan Secondary School named after Suren
Avetisyan, Aragatsotn Province.
During the meeting, inter alia, the students of the
educational institution were introduced to the scope of the Human Rights
Defender's mandate and main areas of activity, a number of provisions of the UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child, issues related to combating bullying,
hate speech, intolerance and discrimination, as well as ensuring inclusiveness
in education, were also discussed.
An expert from the Human Rights Defender's Office
presented the children with the ways to apply the Human Rights Defender.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the
awareness campaign announced in 2025.
