On
December 13, Ms. Aksana Ghahramanyan, Head of the Division for the Protection
of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the Implementation of Convention
Mandates of the Human Rights Defender's Office, participated in the open table
tennis championship “Equal to Equal”, organized at the initiative of a civil
society organization active in the field.
The
event was dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and
aimed to promote equal opportunities, inclusion, and mutual understanding among
different groups of society through sport.
The
Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan, attaches
great importance to such initiatives, considering them effective tools for
promoting the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities and
ensuring their full and equal participation in public life.
