On
January 12, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan, received the President of the Republican Union of Employers of
Armenia, Mr. Vahagn Hambardzumyan.
Welcoming
the guest, Ms. Anahit Manasyan presented the main directions of activity of the
Human Rights Defender’s Office, emphasizing the importance of the protection of
human rights in the business sector. Among the priorities of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office for this year, particular emphasis was placed on the
introduction and development of new and effective mechanisms for the protection
and promotion of human rights in the field of business sector.
A
number of issues related to the protection of human rights in the business
environment were discussed, as well as the opportunities for deepening
cooperation in the relevant field.
The
parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in the field of
human rights protection, highlighting the importance of maintaining
constructive dialogue and implementing joint initiatives.
