As a result of the monitoring of social media and mass media by the Human Rights Defender’s Office, it was established that a statement disseminated by the investigative body on August 8 in the context of criminal proceedings disclosed data relating to the proceedings which, at the same time, concerned a person’s private and family life.
The Human Rights Defender, as the National Preventive Mechanism, has repeatedly addressed the issues related to the legal regulation of the process of keeping arrested or detained persons in court holding cells and the conditions of their detention in annual reports and public statements. In order to address these issues, discussions have also been organized on numerous occasions at the initiative of the Human Rights Defender.
