On August 19, representatives of the Human Rights
Defender of Armenia commenced a working visit to military institutions in Syunik Province.
Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to
conduct visits the MoD Military Unit N, a number of military units, the
military commissariat, as well as subdivisions of the Military Police.
Defender’s representatives will examine issues related to
ensuring the rights of servicemen on site, get acquainted with their social and
living conditions, and discuss existing problems and possible ways to solve
them.
Protecting the rights of servicemen and their family
members is one of the important areas of the Human Rights Defender's activity.
