On
September 3, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan received Ms. Daphnée Maret,
the Head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in
Armenia.
The
Defender highly valued the cooperation between the Human Rights Defender’s
Office and the ICRC in Armenia, emphasizing the importance of the work carried
out by the organization.
The
discussion covered various issues of mutual interest, including the rights of
prisoners of war, missing persons, and their families. Reference was made to
jointly implemented projects in the field of international humanitarian law.
In
turn, Ms. Daphnée Maret thanked the Defender for the reception and reaffirmed
the ICRC's commitment to continuing cooperation.
