On
January 30, the Human Rights Defender’s Office hosted students from the
“Gazprom Armenia” Educational-Sports Complex.
Welcoming
the children, Ms. Lilit Aghajanyan, Head of the Department for the
Implementation of Convention Mandates of the Human Rights Defender's Office,
presented the mission, scope of authority, main directions and priorities of
the Human Rights Defender's Office.
During
the meeting, inter alia, issues related to the prevention of violence against
children, ensuring the right to education, protection of children's personal
data and labor rights, as well as child safety in the online environment were
discussed.
The
meeting was held in a Q&A format, providing the students with an
opportunity to voice their concerns.
Cognitive
meetings with students of educational institutions are ongoing in the Human
Rights Defender's Office.
