It is
our responsibility to ensure equal rights and opportunities for everyone in all
areas of life. Every girl should have the chance to develop, receive an
education, and live a dignified life free from any discrimination.

Earlier,
on October 7, a discussion and film screening titled “Prevention of
Sex-Selective Abortions: Awareness and Shaping Public Consciousness” was held
in Gavar community of Gegharkunik Province, through the cooperation of the
Human Rights Defender and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in
Armenia.
The
event was aimed, inter alia, at protecting the rights of girls and changing
public perceptions in the sphere.
